Gold heartbreak

heartbreak
has a color
two now
from springtime past
shimmering Aztec gold
burnished in the sun

the other appeared
yesterday
pale burgundy
shade of a dying leaf
cut off from life
color of a bleeding heart

(it's a little better this time. i'll be okay. i don't know when.)
